School Features

Our School

Robert Townson High School was built in 1987. It was designed around a village design. As well as sharing a boundary with Robert Townson Primary School it share close ties with its curriculum and students and staff.

The school has 12 main blocks featuring all of the design features unique to each curriculum area. There are 3 main student recreational areas. A top quadrangle (left) is separated from the bottom quadrangle and canteen by a walkway which contains student amenities.

Students access the playing field and canteen via a walkways which also contains student amenities.

The bottom quadrangle has shade, seating, canteen facilities and access to playing fields

Links with Japan

As well as having a close relationship with our neighboring schools Robert Townson High School has a sister school relationship with a Japanese school of English Languages - Koshigya Senior High School

in Tokyo. Each year we take turns sending a delegation of staff and students to Koshigya as part of a home stay visit. This year RTHS plays host to Koshigya and 20 members of staff from Robert Townson will be traveling to Koshigya as part of a program of nurturing this sister school relationship.
