Curriculum

Middle Years of Schooling

In Years 7 and 8, all students follow a compulsory core curriculum determined by the Board of Studies. All students complete courses in English, mathematics, science, history, geography, language, music, technology, art and physical education, health and sport.

Classes are of mixed ability except for one or two classes of higher achievers and one class of students requiring remediation and consolidation in each year.

Students participate in Middle Schooling curriculum projects which link between Robert Townson Primary School and year seven classes. This allows students to form a relationship with their high school in year 6 and develop an understand of how high schools operate.
